Going Forward
‘See! I am doing a new thing!’
For over 30 years HTC has been training men and women for Christian work in today’s world. And the world is changing. Christian beliefs and values, which were once accepted as being integral to society, are no longer so regarded. Modern culture can be challenging for faith, for the Church, and for Christian workers.
Yet there are positive signs, with a ‘Quiet Revival’ detected by some surveys.
The Conference
The Conference which we are hosting on the 25th and 26th of August is for everyone. All of our speakers are men and women of long-term experience in Christian work. They know the lows as well as the highs. Each of them is ‘Reality Aware’, ‘Future Orientated’ and ‘Experience Driven’. This is a Conference designed to assist Church members, Christian leaders, and Congregations to move forward. We want to provide tools. We believe that you will be strengthened and equipped by the Conference, and we encourage you to come.
The Open Lecture
On the evening of Monday 25th August, Hector Morrison (Principal of HTC) will deliver an open lecture entitled ‘Occupy your Lookout Post’. This lecture is a free public event, for anyone to come to. In his lecture, Hector will draw on three decades of preparing folk for Christian work, and on his insights on the state of the Church past and present, to discuss, from Scripture, the issues we face going into the future.
