One-day online training course on Schools Ministry, led by the Church of Scotland Education and Schools Group.
A free one-day online Schools Ministry Training Conference for Chaplains and others interested in how churches and other Christian organisations can work with schools. This will provide an update on current issues within schools and look at a range of support and available resources. There will be a particular focus on supporting resilience and mental health and wellbeing for pupils and staff, with contributions from a range of practitioners alongside practical suggestions and opportunities for discussion and reflection. This is an online conference with interactive contributions from Fischy Music, Jay Thomas (Scripture Union, Serve Your Local School), Sue Thomson (Scottish Bible Society), Lorraine Webb (Children’s and Youth Work Programme Officer, United Reform Church), Steve Younger (national chaplaincy specialist), a current Headteachers and a discussion facilitation by chaplains. All are welcome, and whether you are an experienced Chaplain or a new volunteer just looking to start making connections, please come along – we hope there will be something for everyone.
