Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) serves as a central hub for the voluntary sector in Scotland, including churches.
They offer a wide range of resources, support services, and opportunities to help organisations thrive, innovate, and make a positive impact in their communities including:
- Information and Resources: Access to comprehensive information, guides, and toolkits relevant to the voluntary sector.
- Training and Events: Participation in training sessions, workshops, seminars, and events tailored to build skills and capacity.
- Funding Support: Guidance and support in identifying funding opportunities, navigating the application process, and developing strong proposals.
- Policy and Advocacy: Engagement in policy analysis, advocacy, and lobbying efforts to influence government policies and decisions.

You may also consider contacting your local Council for Voluntary Organisations (CVO) or Third Sector Interface (TSI). Both serve as central hubs offering support and guidance to the third sector within local areas. Each local authority area in Scotland hosts a TSI, and most have a CVO.
