Presbytery Mission Planning

The PMP does not belong to the Team, but is owned by the Presbytery, and its implementation remains a shared responsibility of every KS, congregation, and those in our various forms of ministry.

Key areas of work are:

  • To further the implementation of the PMPs of the constituent Presbyteries that have united into CEÌ

  • To encourage local teams as they implement the PMP within their spheres, and to equip the processes of adjustment

  • To liaise with central service departments (eg the Law Dept, the Principal Clerk's Office, the General Trustees etc)

  • To work to create joined up thinking on the boundaries of the constituent Presbyteries so that our edges smooth out and we become better together

  • To form a unified PMP for CEÌ and undertake its annual review, seeking to advise on the best distribution of ministries, congregations and buildings to enable the mission of the Church throughout the bounds of CEÌ

  • To liaise with the Land & Property Committee as building decisions are made and properties prepared for sale.
