Superintendence

The role of Superintendence is to: 

•  Coordinate and organise implementation of Act I, 2011 anent Local Church Review. 

• Deal with all matters related to Discipline in accordance with the Discipline Act (Act 1 2019 as amended).

• Deal with Complaints about a minister, deacon or office bearer referred by the Presbytery Clerk, as described on the Church’s Complaints website page (https://www.churchofscotland.org.uk/contact/complaints/complaining-about-a-minister-deacon-or-office-bearer).

• Administer the Annual Inspection of Records, specifying in advance to Parish Ministers, Interim Moderators, and Kirk Sessions, the records which they are required to present and the procedures for the Inspection.
