Safeguarding Committee

The Safeguarding Committee deals with all matters related to Safeguarding including the appointment and administration of the Presbytery Safeguarding Panel. 

The membership of the Safeguarding Panel includes the Moderator of Presbytery (Convener), the immediately previous Moderator of Presbytery, Presbytery Clerk, the Superintendence Convener, any Youth Minister, and the Presbytery Safeguarding Contact. 

The members of the Panel are informed straight away if a significant Safeguarding incident occurs in the Presbytery, and a meeting of the Panel convened if appropriate. 

The Panel is responsible for overseeing the safeguarding of vulnerable people and the pastoral care of those involved in any future Safeguarding incident.
